Lantern Bug :)
Lantern Bugs are the Pinocchios of the insect kingdom. They are actually planthoppers that have long beaks, called rostrum, which they use to suck the juice out flowers and fruits. The lantern bug can grow from 1.5 to 3 inches long from head to thorax and has a wingspan of about 2 to 2.5 inches wide, depending on the species.

:) The latest series of photos were taken in Kubah and Gading National Park, Sarawak. I went there for a 4D3N macro with some friends :)

so you make your trips just for your pics? Sounds like an expensive hobby :D Just kidding ;) I'd like to take photos in the tropics one day. Until then it's only in Europe. And of course I have to upgrade my equipment :D Seriously, your work is very inspiring!

Haha... yes, the trips were solely for insect. No sight seeing, tasting local food etc.... It was day and night of insect hunting with few hours of sleep each day! :)
