Very cool! This shot proves that salticidaes are the Tigers of the insect world :)

I'm a Nikon guy myself, but I keep finding that macro fans prefer Canon. I haven't checked but I don't seem to recall you mentioning the Canon 65mm macro in here. Do you ever use it?

Both camp has their fair share of macro fans. I do have the mpe65. Here's a pic taken with it

I love this lens but it's not very practical to use because the insects here are very active. Due to the close working distance, before i can focus, the insect will flee or the moments will be gone.
Now i just use my Tamron 90mm and if i need to get closer, i'll add a rayonx 250 closeup filter(+10).

Yeah, I guess when you use such magnification, it will have to be early dawn shots when they're still sluggish from the cold.
